The historical roots of B-Dry® go back to the 1930’s. As a small boy, Joseph Bevilacqua, Jr. observed his grandfather who taught him the generally accepted techniques of waterproofing basements from the inside using french drains. The term “french drains”, contrary to belief, does not come from the country, but from Henry Flagg French (1813-1885) who created the technique in Concorde, MA.Mr. Bevilacqua decided to start his own waterproofing company and in 1958 B-Dry® was born. Through solid business practices, vision, and commitment to backing his work, he built and franchised one of the largest and most successful waterproofing companies in the United States. The technical publications on the subject, research, and development, have become recognized as the leading national authority on waterproofing systems and technology in the United States today. - Are your estimates free?
- Yes. If you do need our services, we will tell you precisely what we propose to do, how we do it, when we will do it, and the exact cost (taken from our printed pricing schedule). There are no hidden costs. The price we quote is the price you pay. If you do not need our services, we will be the first to tell you about DIY tips or refer you to a trusted contractor who handles any specialty that we don’t (gutters, landscaping, ect...)
- When our home was built, waterproofing membranes were put on the walls and drains were installed but our basement is leaking. Why?
- The effectiveness of these methods is questionable and certain materials are just not made to last. Minerals and acids will deteriorate wall applications. Inexpensive pipe like black corrugated pipe will clog and succumb to the weight of the soil around it. The B-Dry®System was designed to be a crush proof, clog free pipe, and our wall protection consists of materials impenetrable by water… no matter how long they have been installed for.
- Our basement hardly leaks but the walls are usually damp and water bleeds through them. Can B-Dry® cure this problem?

- "Lifetime" in the warranty world has many different meanings - it could mean lifetime of the product (2yrs, 5yrs), lifetime until an event happens (like change of ownership), or a generational lifetime (40yrs). Our Full Life-of-the-Structure Warranty means that as long as the house is standing, we will warranty our work, and it is also transferable to all future homeowners with no service agreement fees. We still stand behind the first home we waterproofed in 1958 and all the 1/4 million homes since then.
