MEMPHIS, MO. -- The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act means hundreds of thousands of dollars for Housing Authorities across Missouri.
The Memphis Housing Authority is going to get $77,568.

Executive Director Pam Glasgow said about $17,000 of that will be used for a new emergency warning siren near the Housing Authority's Community Building.
She also said they plan to spend a lot of the money on new, more energy efficient doors and windows in the apartments.

"We're hoping to replace windows in the back buildings. The windows up here are newer, and those down there need to be replaced, so we're hoping to do that. We're also hoping to put additional insulation in the attics," said Glasgow.

The Macon Housing Authority is set to receive $173,068, Kirksville Housing Authority will get $212,605 and Lancaster Housing Authority is on the receiving end of $48,682.
